The Hon. Michael Sukkar

The Hon Michael Sukkar is a former Australian federal Member of Parliament and Lawyer. During his time in Parliament, Michael served as a Minister in a range of critical portfolios and was the Chair or Member on a number of Parliamentary Committees.

This included serving as the Minister for Housing and Assistant Treasurer. While in Opposition, Michael was the Shadow Minister for Housing and a range of other portfolios, as well as the Manager of Opposition Business.

As the Minister for Housing, Michael introduced a range of enduring programs to support the housing sector and improve home ownership rates. These included incentives for first home buyers and stimulus to support the residential construction sector.
